2 ripe bananas
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pinch of salt
Directions
Peel the bananas and slice them into 1/2-inch thick rounds.
In a small bowl, mix together the sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
Heat the butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat until melted and bubbly.
Add the banana slices to the skillet in a single layer.
Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the banana slices.
Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the bananas are golden brown and crispy.
Remove from heat and serve immediately.
Variations & Tips
For a healthier twist, you can substitute the sugar with honey or maple syrup. If you're catering to picky eaters, try adding a splash of vanilla extract to the butter for extra flavor. You can also experiment with different spices like nutmeg or cardamom for a unique taste. For a more indulgent version, drizzle some melted chocolate over the bananas before serving.
