Save water
For those who don’t know, flushing the toilet involves between 3 and 10 liters of water, it depends a lot on the cistern we have installed in our bathroom.
However, if every time we go to urinate we waste 3 to 10 liters of water, remember that this is drinking water , at the end of the day we will have wasted around 80 liters of water. This calculation is individual, so imagine the expense that a family of 4 using the bathroom several times a day would entail!
Wasting water in this way is not only harmful to us, but also to the entire ecosystem. For this reason, decreasing the frequency of washing, or at least reducing it, is an excellent way to reduce water waste, especially when it is not necessary.
How many bacteria are there in urine?
Many people believe that urine is sterile. This in itself is false, but the truth is that the amount of microorganisms and bacteria in pee is much lower than what we find in our saliva.
By this we mean that, although the bacteria are still present, their concentration is so low that there is no problem leaving pee in the toilet for a few hours.
Change the water pressure
Have you ever been in the shower and flushed the toilet? Probably if you have lived with more people this has happened to you on more than one occasion and we assure you that the water pressure drops and many times we even end up taking a cold shower without warning.
This can also be affected if we use the dishwasher or washing machine while a person takes a shower. So, to prevent the water pressure from changing, it’s best to wait until you finish your shower before flushing the toilet.
Disturbing at night
If we haven’t urinated before going to sleep, it’s very likely that we’ll end up going to the bathroom in the middle of the night . This means that when we go to flush the toilet late at night, the noise can make us more awake and wake others up too.
This recommendation to use the bathroom less is only valid if we are inside our home , on the contrary, for obvious hygienic reasons in public places, the use of the bathroom is essential;
